* Anticipated minimum 20 hours/week, subject to business needs and contractor availability About the Opportunity Jefferson Solutions Group supports Department of War (DoW), federal, defense, intelligence, aerospace, and national security programs requiring highly specialized cleared talent. Our requirements include Secret, TS, TS/SCI, and other cleared positions across technical, intelligence, military operations, training, and mission-support disciplines. Who We Need We are looking for full-cycle and targeted recruitment activities on an as-needed basis, with emphasis on hard-to-fill, mission-critical, and specialized positions. Services may include candidate sourcing, pipeline development, preliminary screening, coordination with hiring stakeholders, and support for recruitment strategies tied to federal, defense, or related client requirements. Key Responsibilities * Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates for specialized roles in the DOW space.
* Identify and recruit candidates with experience in JAFQ, joint force education and training, leadership development, operational planning, exercise support, and warfighter training environments.
* Build targeted pipelines of candidates with familiarity supporting joint, coalition, service-level, or combatant command training missions, including instructors, facilitators, planners, curriculum developers, analysts, and exercise support personnel.
* Develop targeted sourcing strategies using professional networks, industry contacts, job boards, databases, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
* Conduct initial candidate outreach, qualification discussions, and preliminary screening against role requirements.
* Assess candidate experience, availability, compensation expectations, work authorization, clearance eligibility or status, and alignment with position requirements.
* Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and anticipated opportunities.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand staffing needs, labor category requirements, technical qualifications, and client priorities.
* Present qualified candidates with concise summaries of relevant experience, strengths, and potential fit.
* Support interview scheduling, candidate follow-up, and communication throughout the recruitment process.
* Track recruitment activity, candidate status, and pipeline progress in the format requested by the company.
* Maintain confidentiality of candidate, company, and client information. Required Qualifications * Demonstrated experience as a recruiter, talent acquisition specialist, staffing consultant, or recruitment subject matter expert.
* Experience recruiting for roles in the DOW space or closely related federal, defense, technical, operational, acquisition, logistics, intelligence, training, leadership development, joint operations, or warfighter training environments.
* Strong understanding of specialized candidate sourcing methods and recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
* Ability to evaluate candidate qualifications against detailed position descriptions, labor categories, contract requirements, and client needs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional candidate engagement and stakeholder updates.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple candidate pipelines and competing priorities.
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality recruiting support with limited supervision. Preferred Qualifications * Existing network of candidates, consultants, cleared professionals, or industry contacts relevant to DOW requirements.
* Established ability to find and engage specialized candidates with JAFQ, joint training, professional military education, leadership training, exercise design, operational warfighter training, or similar mission-relevant backgrounds.
* Experience supporting federal contractors, government consulting firms, or proposal-driven staffing efforts.
* Familiarity with security clearance considerations, federal labor categories, contract staffing requirements, and proposal recruiting timelines.
* Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruiting databases, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar sourcing tools. Engagement Terms * Engagement type: 1099 Independent Contractor.
* Work schedule: Flexible and project-based, as mutually agreed upon by the parties.
* Location: Remote unless otherwise required for specific meetings or client-related activities.
* Compensation: To be negotiated based on experience, scope of work, level of effort, and agreed-upon deliverables.
