Work with a team of Oracle Database Developers on the design, development and implementation of Oracle based applications in a high growth area of the Schwab Institutional business. 

Must have experience in the development of PL/SQL with triggers, stored procedures and packages. 

Candidate would work with application project teams to size database efforts, design appropriate database access, and satisfy user performance expectations. 

This position requires the ability to gather (and document) database requirements, and to then design, build, test, and implement database functionality for different types of applications. 

Candidate would be expected to provide specifications and oversight for the efforts of junior members of the team. 

The candidate would support the Schwab Charitable Foundations Group, in development of the database. 

Minimum 6 years experience as an application DBA/Database Developer. 

Must be well versed in database development, database interfaces, data analysis, and database performance (especially SQL tuning). 

Must be able to work with Configuration Management to migrate work though all project stages and environments. 

Must support the Q/A team with data driven requests. 

Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting is required. 

The group is expanding its responsibilities to provide the same kind of support for SQL Server that it currently provides for Oracle. 

Experience in SQL Server RDBMS, SQL and Transact SQL are highly desirable. 

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential. 

Experience with ERWIN is a plus.
