The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations for a commercial HVAC equipment manufacturer's representative, ensuring accurate handling, storage, and distribution of HVAC products and materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting project timelines, and delivering a high level of service to internal teams, contractors, and customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with mechanical equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming HVAC equipment, parts, and materials against purchase orders and packing slips
- Load, unload, and stage equipment for delivery or customer pickup, including large commercial HVAC units and components
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or jobsite delivery
- Coordinate with inside sales, project coordinators, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain organized warehouse layout, including proper labeling and storage of equipment and parts
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management to ensure accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies (as certified)
- Assist with jobsite deliveries or local pickups as needed
- Ensure all materials are handled safely to prevent damage, especially high-value HVAC equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with company policies
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse experience required; experience with HVAC, construction, or mechanical equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment (50-75+ lbs) and work on your feet throughout the day
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
