Starting Compensation:
113.22 - 135.86 USD Per Hour
Working Location:
San Jose: North San Jose Center
Working Hours/Shift:
Part-Time, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, AM Shift ( 24 hours per week )

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Experience
  • Clinical experience working with adults in residential or community-based settings
  • Experience with County mental health systems, child welfare, and/or juvenile probation services is strongly preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current, active medical license in good standing with the state medical board
  • Valid DEA license
  • Current malpractice insurance coverage
  • Valid California Driver's License and current automobile insurance and must maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to clients receiving care through Starlight Community Services, supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs in community settings.
Division/Program Overview:
  • Serves adults (18+) and older adult populations
  • Fully community-based program, with all services delivered in clients' homes or within the community
  • Clients present with complex, multi-faceted needs, including:
-- Medication management
-- Housing support
-- Vocational services
-- Independent living skills
  • Mental health treatment
  • Average service intensity is approximately 10 hours per client per month
  • At full capacity, the program supports a census of approximately 50 adult clients
