Job description


Role Overview
We are hiring skilled independent contractors to handle service, diagnostics, and repair for food preparation equipment in commercial kitchens. This includes slicers, mixers, processors, and similar equipment critical to kitchen prep operations.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair food prep equipment (e.g., mixers, blenders, processors, slicers).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and tune-ups to minimize failures.
  • Identify mechanical or electrical issues and replace or repair faulty components.
  • Perform safety checks to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Keep accurate logs of work performed, time on site, and parts used.
  • Coordinate scheduling directly with clients (we provide client contact information).
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver quality service with minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience repairing and maintaining food preparation equipment in commercial kitchens.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid business license and/or general liability insurance.
  • Own a reliable work vehicle (truck or van) and carry all necessary diagnostic and repair tools.
  • Familiarity with common issues across leading brands, including: (Hobart, Robot Coupe, Globe, Vollrath, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
  • Clear communication and time management skills.
  • Willing to provide contractor details to the client for coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA certification
  • Experience with tenant improvement projects
