Job description

Position Summary

A Place At Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional In-Home Caregivers to provide personalized, non-medical support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Our caregivers play an important role in helping clients maintain their dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support.

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including:

    • Bathing and personal hygiene

    • Dressing and grooming

    • Toileting and incontinence care

    • Ambulation and mobility

    • Transfers and positioning

  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.

  • Provide medication reminders as permitted by the client's care plan and applicable regulations.

  • Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care.

  • Assist with errands and transportation when authorized.

  • Encourage client independence and participation in daily activities.

  • Follow each client's individualized care plan and service instructions.

  • Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the office.

  • Maintain client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment.

  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, office staff, and other members of the care team.

Qualifications
  • 1 Year Caregiving experience, required.

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.

  • Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.

  • Ability to pass required background checks.

  • Ability to pass required drug test.

  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
