Job description

Job Title: QA Incoming Inspector Location: Allentown, PA Type: Contract Pay: $20.25+ shift differential Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM

Overview The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting both visual and physical inspections of packaging, components. The quality inspection process is vital to ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, documentation, and release of incoming components (bottles, caps, packaging) related to packaging processes, including customer-supplied, purchased, and internally produced components.
  • Sampling components and bulk products according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) or item specifications.
  • Conducting and documenting IR and Global Vision testing as required.
  • Reviewing peers' work and releasing components under the direction of QA management.
  • Participating in internal, customer, and regulatory audits as assigned by senior management.
  • Training designated peers upon request by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of inspection experience in a GMP environment (following SOPs, identifying defects, documenting)
  • Knowledge of quality control processes in a packaging or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform meticulous inspections
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Computer literacy; experience with Global Vision and IR testing is a plus
