Opportunity for Full-Time Employment | CPA Firm

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing high-quality individual income tax returns in a collaborative, technology-driven environment.


This role focuses primarily on the preparation of individual income tax returns (Form 1040). There is also the opportunity for this position to move to broader scoped projects for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

You'll prepare accurate, high-quality tax returns while working closely with our partners and tax professionals to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040)
  • Analyze client tax documents and identify missing information
  • Communicate with staff regarding open items and tax return questions
  • Review prior-year returns and maintain consistency when appropriate
  • Prepare tax projections and basic tax planning calculations when needed
  • Research tax issues and apply current tax law
  • Maintain organized electronic workpapers and documentation
  • Meet production goals while maintaining exceptional accuracy
  • Assist with extension season and year-round tax projects as needed

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving tax problems, works efficiently, and takes pride in producing accurate returns.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience preparing individual income tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal individual income tax laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or CPA candidate
  • Experience preparing complex individual tax returns
  • Experience with UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters products, including UltraTax CS
  • Experience working in a public accounting or CPA firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
