The pay range is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00

Working within Tax, your mission will be to drive value-added work and support our core retail business goals. Our tax team focuses on all aspects of tax reporting including enhancing productivity and efficiency of core compliance through process and technology, monitoring tax risk and opportunities across all tax disciplines, engaging and educating Finance and the broader organization regarding tax considerations, and prioritizing team resources to support key work streams.
As a Tax Manager in Income Tax, you will be responsible for assisting on various aspects of the income tax function. This role primarily supports international income tax initiatives with an initial focus on transfer pricing controversy, planning, and documentation, while partnering across the business to manage complex tax matters. This role is designed to evolve over time, providing opportunities to broaden experience across the Income Tax function and contribute to strategic tax planning, special projects, and transformational initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with Target business partners to collect and analyze data; assist with the preparation, documentation and review of tax workpapers and filings; support our tax accounting and forecasting processes; and engage with governmental agents, external advisors, and financial statement auditors. You will also research and analyze technical tax issues and support the team with tax audit matters. You will leverage your analytical expertise and curiosity as you evaluate the tax implications of Target's business operations. Drawing on your tax expertise, critical thinking, problem solving, and business operational knowledge you will contribute to a wide range of strategic priorities. You will foster your personal development by remaining current with tax and industry trends and emerging risks and gain unique experiences supporting a meaningful career. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
About you:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or related area
  • Minimum 2 years of income tax experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporation
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles; CPA is preferred
  • Experience in using data and analytical tools including Excel, Alteryx and data visualization tools is preferred
  • Experience with OneSource and SAP, or similar tax software and general ledger system, is preferred
