Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative(4 month term) to join our team at our Cement Plant in Edmonton,Alberta.Thisrolereports directlyto the Customer Services Manager.

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for receiving and processing of cement and fly ash sales orders. This opportunity isperfectforthesalesprofessional who is looking to grow their career with an industry leader. While focusing on growing existing and prospective customers toincrease market share and improve profit margins, you will begin your career with a proven leader in the cement and construction materials industry.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take and process customer orders via phone, email, and other communication channels accurately and professionally.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule and dispatch deliveries on-time, cost-efficiently, and accurately.
  • Track, investigate, and resolve delivery-related issues, including customer complaints, late loads, and product discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams, including outside sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing urgencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience in administrative support, call center, inside sales, logistics, or shared inbox environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams, with comfort learning new digital tools.
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • This role is exclusively on-site at the Edmonton cement plant
  • No offsite travel expectations
  • Cubicle workstation within a shared office environment (~10 staff total)
  • Shift work, with rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends monthly.
  • Will typically work alongside 2 fellow ISR's.
