DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We're hiring a Senior Operations Specialist to lead a team of operators to execute against autonomy goals. If you have a passion for applying robotics solutions to a service loved by millions of people, then we want to talk to you!
About the Role
We are looking for a driven Senior Operations Specialist who is excited about managing a dynamic operations team leading the forefront of delivery technology. You will manage a PM shift (3:30-12AM MST) of our operations team supporting autonomous testing, bringing autonomous technology from ideation to commercialization. You will report to a Specialist Operations Manager or Operations Manager on our robotics team in our DoorDash Labs organization. This job is 100% onsite at our Operations Hub in Mesa, AZ with some duties in Chandler and Tempe, AZ.

  • Manage a component of our operations
  • Effectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issues
  • Serve as an escalation path for issues in the field, to include incidents and onsite presence depending on severity
  • Maintain an "and not either or" attitude when it comes to balancing business needs, costs, and safety
  • Be an expert in our autonomous technology and help track and convey changes to it

  • An analytical mindset and can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex situations; Proficiency in gSuite, JIRA and SQL is preferred but not essential
