This is a perfect position for finance experts with highly advanced data skills and to data experts with strong abilities and interest in Finance. Your experience has taught you how to efficiently use large datasets to drive advanced analysis, automation and metrics that support business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in Finance and Data bridging gaps of knowledge between finance and data teams. Be able to expand knowledge to understand key drivers of Amazon logistics as well as the related finance, accounting and controllership systems and data.
- Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful metrics and tools to drive business improvement and cost reductions
- Write systems queries to gather finance data and perform data-mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel, SQL (required) and Python.
- Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting Ops team improve its competitive position and profitability.
- Enable IB finance stakeholders to navigate data driven solutions and datasets to ensure they can effectively self-service their needs.
- Work with data source providers and tech teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events
- Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple documents while coordinating inputs from several stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
