Tube Welder

Pay: $24-$27/hr BOE | Hours: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM | Job Type: Temp-to-Hire | Location: Sand Springs, OK


Test Requirement

Candidates must pass a Stick test and Sub Arc welding test on a " thick plate, 18" long.


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tube Welder to join our team in Sand Springs, OK. The ideal candidate will excel in welding thin-walled metal tubes and pipes using techniques such as TIG and MIG welding. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, adherence to industry standards, and a strong commitment to safety. The position requires precision and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding on metal tubes and pipes, including stainless steel and carbon steel, using TIG and MIG welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment, including welders, torches, and grinders.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections, making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and project progress.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and work with supervisors to resolve them.
  • Stay current with industry advancements in welding techniques and technologies.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Tube Welder or in a similar role.
  • Welding certification (e.g., AWS, CWB) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • High attention to detail and ability to produce precise welds.
  • Knowledge of welding safety protocols and proper equipment handling.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and work in various positions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
