Job description

Description:

 OVERVIEW 

Leads design execution on a variety of print and digital projects, translating creative direction into polished, on-brand work while providing guidance to junior members of the Creative Services team.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Accepts, advises on, and performs design projects with minimal supervision 
  • Concepts and executes designs for advertising, direct mail, packaging, publications, and digital communications 
  • Works with writers and other designers to develop layouts, from roughs and sketches through final comps 
  • Provides guidance and feedback to junior designers, reviewing their work for quality and brand consistency 
  • Creates final comps for presentation to the Sr. Director of Creative Services, department directors, and other stakeholders 
  • Determines selection of production elements, including fonts, paper, and printing techniques 
  • Prepares final art files for the printer and reviews and approves printer proofs 
  • Creates electronic layouts for web and digital platforms according to pre-determined specifications 
  • Art directs photo shoots as needed and/or sources art through stock or commissioned photography and illustration 
  • Maintains image resource files 
  • Participates in brainstorming and concepting as part of a team and/or larger groups 
Requirements:

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS 

Strong portfolio demonstrating design skill across print and digital media, with several years of professional design experience. Ability to work independently, take creative direction well, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
