Job description

Position: Custodian
Division: Property Management
Status: Full Time / Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY: The custodian position provides janitorial services to all the Gebhart Holding facilities.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Taking out trash.
  • Cleaning bathrooms.
  • Cleaning breakrooms and offices.
  • Sweeping and mopping.
  • Restocking paper products, plastic utensils, soda and coffee cups, salt, pepper and other condiments.
  • Refilling coffee and soda machines.
  • Regular and timely attendance are expected of the position.
  • Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Previous janitorial/custodian experience preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to thirty (30) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
