Overview:
The Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the room service staff. Their main concern is to ensure that guests are consistently serviced in a courteous, efficient and unobtrusive manner. The Supervisor will have full responsibility in the absence of Assistant Room Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure optimal performance in the day-to-day operation.
• Assist Room Service Manager and Assistant Room Service Manager in training of the staff.
• Check the waiters' orders and set-up.
• Control order load of the waiters.
• Assign waiters and service attendants duties.
• Check on tray and table removal.
• Establish and maintain cohesive and effective Associate relations.
• Inspect daily set-up, presentation and delivery of amenities.
• Handle the execution of the hospitality.
• Maintain guest contact.
• Conduct administrative work requirements.
• Performs related duties and special projects.
• Provides functional assistance and directions to the Room Service operation.
• Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Enthusiastic and friendly with a positive attitude
• Must have previous food and beverage experience in fine dining or hotel
• Room Service experience is preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including AM & PM shifts, weekends and holidays
• Minimum high school diploma
• Must have TIPS Certification & food certification.
