As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership, assess complex medical needs, develop care plans, and guide a team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. 

About The Role 

Join our caring team of Casual Registered Nurses at The Heights at Mt. View, Baptist Housing’s vibrant seven-story long-term care community in Saanich, BC. In this leadership role, you'll support residents' health and wellness while mentoring care teams and ensuring clinical excellence. 

As an RN, you will: 

  • Provide leadership in clinical care planning, complex assessments, and decision-making 
  • Oversee medication administration, treatments, and interventions for residents with unstable conditions 
  • Mentor and guide care aides and LPNs to deliver consistent, high-quality care 
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, person-centred care plans 
  • Ensure accurate documentation using clinical systems and electronic medical records 
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care 
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, promoting a safe and supportive environment 
  • Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and demonstrate servant leadership in all interactions

Requirements 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree 
  • Current registration in good standing with the BC College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) 
  • Current First Aid Certificate and Food Safe Certification 
  • Experience in long-term care preferred

Compensation & Benefits 

Level 3 RNs are compensated at an hourly rate of $41.42 – $55.91.
