Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU for a nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary 

At Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is at the forefront of innovation, expertise, and compassionate care. We specialize in caring for the sickest and most complex heart and vascular patientsโ€”those who require the highest level of critical care after life-saving procedures and interventions. 

 
  • Manage patients after: 
    • Open Heart Surgeries 
    • Advanced Vascular Surgeries (aneurysm repairs, chimneys, bypasses, aortic dissections) 
    • Structural Heart Interventions 
    • Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) and Cardiogenic Shock  
    • Heart Failure and Life-Threatening Arrhythmias 
  • Hands on experience with advanced technology such as cutting-edge life-support and critical care therapies, including: 
    • ECMO (VA/VV/VAV) 
    • Impella (CP, 5.5, RP) 
    • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) 
    • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) 
    • EKOS  
    • Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) 
    • Bedside Procedures: PEG and tracheostomy placement 
  • Minimum Requirements
    • Experience: Tele/ stepdown or PCU RN with 2-3 years expr.  
    • Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school 
    • Certifications: 
      • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona 
      • CPR  
      • ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department 
      • ACLS and CPR required for  ER, ICU, CVICU, stepdown, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, and L&D upon orientation completion
      •  
  • Preferred Requirements 
    • Experience: 1-2 years expr. in RN  ICU or CVICU 
    • Education: BSN
