Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics for a nursing job in Tampa, Florida.

Responsible for coordination of the Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach Program to include collaboration with physicians, managers, and educators to identify, develop and implement professional education programs to include lifestyle and prevention management that support the mission, vision, and strategies of Tampa General’s regional level I Trauma Program. Ensures implementation for required evidence-based screenings based on community need and the American College of Surgeons Standards for Injury Prevention, Outreach, and Trauma Education. Collaborates with Community Benefit and Health Education team and outlying facilities, agencies, and organizations to ensure protocols and
prevention are aligned with evidence-based guidelines and trends in injuries seen in the Tampa Bay region. Serves as a liaison and resource to nursing team, pre-hospital personnel, and other outside personnel related to trauma care and injury prevention education. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

  • Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing licensed to practice in the state of Florida. 
  • Minimum of three years of trauma nursing experience with knowledge of public education, strong organization and planning skills, and the ability to work well with the general public. 
  • Must have experience in planning, organizing, and implementing special programs. 
  • Experienced computer skills, in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • TNCC instructor preferred.
