Summary:

As a Inpatient Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while gaining experience across a variety of clinical situations. You'll use your clinical judgment and the nursing process to provide patient-centered care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help drive positive patient outcomes in a supportive hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a clinical resource by coordinating and overseeing patient care, delegating responsibilities based on patient needs, staff competencies, and unit priorities.

  • Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, evaluates outcomes, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care.

  • Coordinates care with patients, families, providers, and other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.

  • Educates patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, patient rights, and informed consent.

  • Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practice, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of clinical equipment and technology required for patient care.

  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members while contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

  • Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program required.

  • Current New Mexico RN license or Compact State RN license required.

  • BLS certification required for all RN roles (AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross accepted).

  • Additional certifications may be required based on department assignment. (ACLS, PALS, NRP)
