Job description

A per diem retail pharmacist opportunity is available for coverage in Galena, Illinois, from May 26th through June 5th. This assignment involves working first shift hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, providing essential pharmacy services in a new, low-volume setting. The pharmacist will be the sole onsite pharmacist, supporting clinic patients by verifying prescriptions with the assistance of a highly experienced technician trained in Pioneer software.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and ensure safe, timely delivery to patients.
  • Counsel patients on their medication regimens and provide thorough advice.
  • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain pharmacy stock, controlled substance records, and inventories.
  • Resolve patient issues and clarify coverage details related to third-party payers.
Qualifications:
  • Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
