Job description

Particulars:

Full Time - Receptionist *See attached job description*

Monday - Friday 7.5 hours/ day

May require some overtime.

Duties:

  • Answer the telephone, check voicemail and deal appropriately with each call;
  • Schedule appointments on the computer system;
  • Show patients to the examining rooms and prepare for the examination;
  • Clean and stock examining rooms; maintain a neat working environment;
  • Process all medical reports and correspondence that arrives at the station, including inputting of information into the patient's computerized medical record;
  • Perform procedures pertinent to physician's needs, such as weighing patients, witnessing surgical consent, etc;
  • Patient instruction and education;
  • Chaperone physician's examinations when requested;
  • Perform other related duties as required;
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.


Requirements:

  • Ability to deal with physicians, staff and public in a courteous and effective manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and medical record management.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
