Overview
Position: Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)
Location: Poplar Bluff, MO
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000/year, commensurate with experience
Incentives: $10,000 bonus and student loan repayment program!
Now Hiring: ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist - Poplar Bluff, MO
Join our NovaCare P & O team in Poplar Bluff as a full-time ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). You'll lead the design, fabrication, fitting, and follow-up of prosthetic devices tailored to each patient's needs. ABC Certification or completion of a Residency Program (Board Eligible) is required, with 3 years of experience as a CPO.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices related to patients' needs, as indicated by a physician.
  • Assists physicians with the evaluation and analysis of the patient's need for orthotic/prosthetic services.
  • Ensures proper patient management is consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care.
  • Identifies and reconciles issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
  • Ensures highest standards of patient care are provided to all patients, including but not limited to adequate follow-up with patients and physicians.
  • Reviews new techniques and materials to ensure the widest range of flexibility and services offered.
  • Maintains accurate documentation to clearly define goals, issues and solutions for each patient.
  • Provides administrative staff with information to conduct reimbursement activities.
  • Provides information to facility management to ensure proper management of inventory and materials.
  • Meets with physicians, case managers and other referral sources to market orthotics/prosthetics services and capabilities.
  • Provides on-call services, as necessary.
  • Recommends treatment options to physicians, when necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics and Prosthetics school.
  • American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing orthotic/prosthetic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
