Job description

For more than 30 years, SQA Services has provided managed supplier quality services, including inspections, audits, corrective actions, remediation, and engineering support. We deploy experienced quality professionals globally to support client and supplier sites on demand. 

SQA Services is seeking an Electromechanical Quality Inspector (Level 2) to support a major data center infrastructure program at a supplier facility in Olathe, Kansas.

This role focuses primarily on mechanical inspection activities related to cooling tower systems, including identifying and preventing unit leakages through inspection of sealants, caulking, rivets, and structural assemblies. The position also requires a basic understanding of electrical assemblies and wiring diagrams.

This is a full-time, on-site contract role supporting active production operations with immediate need.

  • Location: Olathe, KS
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
  • Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible)
  • Duration: 3 months (potential extension)
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections on cooling tower assemblies and related systems
  • Inspect sealants, caulking, rivets, and mechanical assemblies to identify and mitigate leak risks
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and witness inspections per drawings and specifications
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and inspection reporting activities
  • Verify supplier execution to inspection plans and quality requirements
  • Review inspection documentation and compile sign-off/report packages
  • Document nonconformances and support corrective action closure
  • Provide weekly updates on production and quality performance
  • Utilize Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive for reporting and communication
  • Read and interpret basic electrical wiring diagrams
Required Qualifications
  • Experience performing electromechanical or mechanical inspections in manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical inspection background with understanding of sealants, leak prevention, or structural assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic wiring diagrams
  • Experience with visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and witness inspections
  • Comfortable using Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive
  • Ability to work independently on-site in a fast-paced production environment
  • Must be located near or able to commute to Olathe, KS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cooling systems, HVAC equipment, or industrial fabrication
  • Experience supporting data center or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Experience with supplier quality or third-party inspection support
$32 - $38 an hour
