Description
Join Air Technical Industries and be part of a team that transforms heavy-duty lifting and handling equipment into ergonomic masterpieces.
This position requires a dynamic, results-oriented individual to perform many critical responsibilities in manufacturing operations. Product lines include heavy lifting equipment such as scissor lift tables and shop cranes. This is a hands-on position requiring a majority of time spent on the factory floor.
Daily responsibilities include performing various in-process inspections on products. Must have a sense of urgency to complete inspections to move products to the next step or approve to ship. You may have several calls for your attention at any given time, so you must be able to adapt and prioritize.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the Quality Management System and performing internal audits as well as assisting with product documentation, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.
Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with a one (1) hour lunch break. This is a full-time position with base wages plus opportunity for production bonuses. Responsibilities
Quality Control Inspector
• Perform in-process inspections on welding processes including visual and magnetic particle tests.
• Perform load testing and functional testing of equipment.
• Perform final quality evaluation of equipment, giving "OK to ship" approval.
• Manage ISO9001:2015 quality management system, maintain compliance, perform internal audits, non-conformance, work instructions, updates and revisions, etc.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
Qualifications
• Must be resourceful, responsive, and able to keep track of multiple tasks all happening simultaneously.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are required for working on Quality Management System in order to satisfy many internal "customers" and external customers.
• At least 2 years experience in welding and/or welding inspection
• At least 2 years of experience in an ISO9001 quality management system is desired, especially in internal auditing and documentation.
• Must be hard-working and willing to get your hands dirty to get the job done!
