HiFyve is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry in College Point, NY!


Salary: $20.00–$35.00/hour + 15% Shift Differential (DOE)

Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:45 PM – 12:45 AM

Training will be completed on 1st Shift for several months before transitioning to Mid Shift and ultimately 2nd Shift.

About the Role

This role is responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and aerospace manufacturing requirements. The Quality Control Inspector will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives throughout production.


Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and measure materials and products throughout the manufacturing process

• Perform incoming, in-process, first-piece, and final inspections

• Verify raw materials meet quality requirements prior to production

• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with quality standards

• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools

• Document inspection results and maintain quality records

• Approve or reject materials and finished products based on specifications

• Identify nonconforming products and ensure proper disposition

• Communicate inspection findings with production and quality teams

• Recommend process improvements and corrective actions as needed

• Support special projects and additional quality-related initiatives


Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality inspection or related manufacturing experience

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

• Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident required


Preferred Qualifications

• First Article Inspection experience

• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards

• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

• Experience with MRP and ERP systems

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
