Join a Leading Aerospace Manufacturer - Belcan is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturing company for an experienced Quality Inspector to support a growing Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operation in Warren, Michigan. This position is ideal for an experienced aerospace quality professional who enjoys working in a precision manufacturing environment and is committed to ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
***Aerospace quality inspection experience is required for this role. ***
- Shift: 3rd Shift (17% Shift differential - Schedule: M-F: 11pm - 7am)

Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections on precision-machined aerospace components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - As a Quality Inspector, you will:
- Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections on precision-machined aerospace components.
- Conduct dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using established quality procedures.
- Operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision parts.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment, including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore gauges
- Thread gauges
- Additional inspection tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and CAD models.
- Verify products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Identify and document non-conforming material.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve quality concerns.
- Accurately complete inspection documentation and quality records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all quality and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous Quality Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and measurement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with the following experience are strongly preferred:
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation and/or programming
- AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems
- First Article Inspection (FAI)
- CAD model interpretation
- Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
Physical Requirements - This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Use hand tools throughout the shift
- Perform bending, reaching, crouching, and repetitive hand movements
- Work safely around manufacturing equipment
Interview Process:
- Qualified candidates will participate in an in-person interview, which may include a hands-on skills assessment related to the position.
- Candidates are encouraged to wear steel-toe or composite-toe shoes for the interview. Safety glasses and protective toe caps will be provided if needed.

- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Candidates hired into MRO operations are subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements, including random testing.
