Position Title:

Quality Inspector

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a Qualify Inspector.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that our welding, painting, assembly, loading and shipping operations meet the highest quality standards. You will receive training and guidance to perform inspections, identify defects, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conduct 100% visual inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress components, and finished products to identify any visual defects, damages, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Learn and follow established quality control procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards across all manufacturing processes. Seek guidance from senior quality inspectors as needed.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain records of nonconformities and corrective actions. Assist in preparing basic reports summarizing inspection findings and communicating them to relevant team members.
  • Participate in training programs to develop your understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior quality inspectors and cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and quality enhancement. Share ideas and suggestions for corrective actions, preventive measures, and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Conduct basic inspections of incoming materials. Learn to review supplier documentation and communicate quality-related issues to the procurement team for resolution.
  • Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to address quality concerns and implement quality control measures. Seek guidance and ask questions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Assist in organizing inspection areas and ensuring that inspection equipment is properly maintained.
  • Follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Environment is not climate controlled. Limited control of heat and cooling, hot in the summers and cold in the winters.
  • Loud industrial environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Walking, standing, kneeling, bending are required up to 90% of the workday
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday

WORK HOURS:

  • This is a full-time position. Work week is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Friday will be required when production demand requires overtime.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
