Job description

The NFL Foundation Fellow will focus on administrative work to help support the operations and grant programs of the NFL Foundation charitable organization.  This includes work within and outside of the NFL Foundation Grant Application Management System (GAMS) on issues including youth health and wellness, youth football, social issues and other Foundation priority areas. The position reports to the NFL Philanthropy Manager and works closely with the Vice President of Philanthropy and the rest of the NFL Foundation/Philanthropy team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the NFL Foundation team including but not limited to fielding phone calls and emails from current and potential grant recipients, including NFL clubs, NFL Legends and partner organizations.,
  • Assist with grant payment processing via the NFL Foundation's Grant Management System (GAMS).
  • Schedule meetings, facilitate mailings and help prepare presentation materials.
  • Take meeting minutes.
  • Assist staff with administrative support in GAMS (e.g., grant agreement letters, GAMS messaging, etc.).
  • Assist staff on 2026 Annual Report build out.
  • Work with Accounts Payable on submitting grant and contribution check requests for both GAMS and non-GAMS payments.  Work through entire process to ensure payments are made in a timely manner. 
  • Respond to incoming NFL Foundation phone, email and letter inquiries/requests. Provide excellent customer service to grantees, NFL clubs, players and constituents, analyze and resolve issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Create, organize and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, for non-GAMS-related grants. Track required progress report submissions and follow-up with grantees on missing reports.
  • Provide abstracts of grant report progress (quarterly and annual)
  • Conduct programmatic research as needed.
  • Help NFL Foundation staff create various grant assets including grant application guides, media templates and grant overviews.
  • Assist with product uploads and postings on the NFL Auction website.
  • Assist with NFL Auction inventory management
  • Assist with NFL Auction promotion for My Cause My Cleats
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • In process of obtaining undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Excellent writer
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of sports media and PR in general

Salary / Pay Range
