How hard is it to become a labor and delivery nurse?

Becoming a labor and delivery nurse requires earning a nursing degree, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), passing the NCLEX-RN exam, and gaining clinical experience in maternity or obstetric settings. Additional certifications like Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) can enhance job prospects. The process involves education, licensing, and specialized training, making it a competitive but achievable career path for those committed to maternal and newborn care.
