Job description

Who You Are:

We’re always looking for the right person who’s the right fit. So what does that encompass? A lot, but the short version is: you’re an initiative-taker, a collaborator, care about people (but you don’t have to be a super extrovert–most of us aren’t), someone who wants to do something that makes a difference, and constantly seek to know more and do better. We’re a team of people who care, who try, who take initiative and are constantly pursuing how to do and be better. If that’s your vibe–we’re looking for you!

Who We Are:

Let’s start with the obvious–we’re a local eye care clinic that provides ocular medical and vision care to the Kenai Peninsula. From a contact lens prescription to Glaucoma management to getting fiberglass out of eyes, we see it all (pun intended). We strive to offer expert, personalized care to each person that walks through our doors. To do that, we have patient coordinators (front desk humans), opticians (the glasses folks), technicians (the medical assistants of the eyeball world), billing specialists (insurance wranglers), and other roles that provide the care and are the boots on the ground.

We’re all about the team and the individuals that make it. We’ve found that the individuals make or break the team. The team creates the culture. The culture takes care of the patients & customers and their experience. And through that, the community is cared for. But it all starts with phenomenal individuals and prioritizing their personal and professional well-being and growth.

What You’d Do:

We believe that when we find the right person who’s the right fit, we can (and should) find the right place to put them. There’s always space for that right person. So we’re always looking for YOU–an individual in search of a place to pursue your ambitions, contribute to your community, and stretch your talents and skills in with a team that believes in you.

What You Get:

  • Annual offsite training (locations have been Colombia, Morocco, Kenya, Chile, New Zealand, and more!)
    • Personal development topics
    • Professional discussion and brainstorming
    • Leadership opportunities
    • Cultural and travel experiences
    • Team bonding!
  • $500 monthly healthcare stipend (paid bi-monthly)
  • 80 hours of accruing Paid Time Off (PTO), increasing with tenure!
  • 6 paid holidays
  • Birthday time off (flexible!)
  • 401K 4% match & Roth IRA option
  • Annual eye exam & glasses/contacts benefits through us!
    • Free office glasses!
    • Annual frame & lens updates
    • Discounted glasses & contacts
  • Merit-based compensation & raises (not tenure-based!)
  • A consistent schedule and on-the-job paid training.
  • Opportunities for growth, including:
    • Continuing education
    • Leadership roles
    • Diverse opportunities
  • A collaborative, supportive, and high-caliber team!

How You Apply:

To apply, send in a resume, 3 professional references, and a (short) cover letter that tells a little about you and what you’re looking for, including what animal you’d be and why!
