Join OUR TEAM and play a key role in manufacturing at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of Steel Frames & Doors. Reporting into one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our various manufacturing and service departments. What You Will Do:
  • Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators set up and operate machines
  • Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies and trucks
  • Work in all departments to load and unload trucks, count, weight, transport, and pile materials in storage areas
  • Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc. for processing equipment
  • Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed
  • Clean materials
  • Follow standardized methods of work

What You Need to Succeed:
  • You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
  • You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
  • You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
  • You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
  • Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required
