GPD is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer for our Indianapolis, IN office location.
Role Qualifications:
  • Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the field of Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed), Public Buildings, Healthcare and Federal.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Building power distribution design
  • Building Interior/exterior lighting and controls design
  • Lighting photometrics
  • Generator system design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit a plus.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excell, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:
  • Project design for electrical, lighting, fire alarm and generator design systems for vertical construction projects.
  • Mentoring and developing young staff to further our success in the industry
  • Address construction RFI’s and review equipment submittals.
  • Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Client interaction.
