Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Nights - Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Unit for Texas Health HEB

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022
Work hours: Full-Time, Nights Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:30 pm - 6:30 am- Self-Scheduling
NICU Department highlights:
  • Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a part-time opportunity for an experienced NICU RN.
  • 16 bed NICU unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
  • Level III NICU
  • Maternal Designation III

Here's What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Req
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Req
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of RN experience in NICU strongly preferred

What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
