CES CCTV Operator Job Description

Safety: Safety should be your first concern.

  • Ensure drivers always have spotters while backing or navigating tight spots
  • Confirm signs and cones are properly placed BEFORE units are parked in traffic
  • Always request a flagger when needed
  • Make sure entire crew is wearing ALL PPE

Planning: Formulate a written plan for work to be completed for every 5 working days

Manage Jet/Vac operators: Make note of special accommodations that will be needed

  • Easement Machine
  • Traffic Control
  • Private Property Access
  • Water Truck

Inspections: Obtain and maintain NASSCO PACP certification

  • Accurate inspections
  • Correct coding
  • Proper clock positions
  • Photos should be taken with the entire defect in view from.5' to 1.5' back

Determine the correct method and application of flow control devices

Perform quality control self-checks on data

Follow proper procedures for reel calibration and accurately calibrate within 3%

Production Logs: Must be turned in everyday upon return to yard WITHOUT EXCEPTION

  • Track Man Hours Downtime and description
  • Equipment numbers and Usage hours
  • Task codes: CCTV, Cleaning, Root Cutting, Traffic Flagmen, etc.
  • Pipe size: 0 for Reverse, Tap/Root Cutting, Flagmen, etc task codes

Notify PM of severe defects with footage of defect from MH

Exports: Make the proper folder

Count Videos: Watch every video after export to ensure correctness & completion of export

Organization: On van Computer Any operator should be able to get on your truck & immediately work

Production: Clean/ TV 1500 feet/day punch any other employees timecard

Manage JetVac Operators & Helpers: Daily Vehicle Inspection Check Fluids, tire pressure, lights, etc. Get radios, GPS, Etc. Clean Collect depths and hard tape footage NO SLEEPING or laying down

Maintain the Equipment: Repairs are very costly and cause downtime If equipment is down, we can't work Service Generators every 250 hours Service Trucks every 3,000 miles

Mapping: Map Change form on ProLog Update your map Always call if you are not certain

UTC: UTC lines should still be included on Pro logs Make a UTC header screen in Granite Voice-over header info and reason line cannot be completed Inspection and Header screen is to be exported

UTL's: Every effort should be made to find MHs Should be noted on Pro log and in Granite If UTC due to UTL- do UTC header screen

Supply Orders & Inventory: Submit a written request for supplies A specific day for maintenance will be determined each month All issues to be repaired should be planned ahead of time so PM can get proper tools and parts An complete inventory will be taken once per month or when a unit mobilizes to a different project

Miles and Hours: Miles and Hours are to be turned in at the beginning of the work week

Safety Meetings: We will hold safety meetings once per week Participation is required Contribution is appreciated
