Job description

The Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and optimizing products or systems using engineering principles. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure functionality, performance, and manufacturability. The role is crucial in transforming concepts into innovative and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Design and develop parts or assemblies based on client requests and in compliance with client and industry standards for primary and secondary structural elements of aircraft.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Modify or create 3D models of parts or assemblies.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and interpret drawings, and technical specifications for various parts or assemblies.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Correct and incorporate changes into technical drawings.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Standardize 3D models and drawings according to client and industry standards.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Analyze submitted modification requests.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Research technical specifications when not provided by the client.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identify root causes and resolve issues.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide technical support to production and engineering teams.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist in drafting quality procedures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Share technical knowledge with team members.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understand AS 9100 standard requirements related to the responsibilities of this position.

Requirements

Skills:

Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  5+ years of relevant professional experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other related field or college diploma with 2 years' experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience in the primary and secondary structural elements of aircraft is an asset.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficiency in design and modeling software (CATIA V5 preferred but other software will be considered).
