Job description

CEC Controls is currently recruiting a Controls Estimator for the Automotive Conveyor Industry for projects primarily in primarily in North America. The successful candidate will have Discrete Controls and Automotive (or related) experience. Candidate should also have a background in Controls Hardware design and build background. Experience in Ford, GM, Stellantis Assembly Conveyance is a bonus. This position offers the ability to work hybrid with very limited office time.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares detailed estimates to meet customer requirements and company policies
  • Prepare proposal documents and customer proposal forms, as required by customer request
  • Assists with evaluation and improvements of company estimating process
  • Prepares the feasibility/contract review form and schedule pricing review meetings when required
  • Work with Project Management to establish budgets and coordinate scope to kickoff project when purchase orders are received
  • Responsible for the follow up of proposals to determine status and obtain feedback about pricing.
  • Must be able to travel for short periods of time to attend Bid meetings, Value Analysis Meetings, Pre-award Meetings and assist in project implementation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Engineering Degree or certifications preferred, or experience specifically related to the position.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in design and startup of electrical controls.
  • Allen Bradley PLC Hardware and Software experience required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, VBA coding a plus.
  • Experience with PLC and HMI systems.
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD and ePlan electrical control drawings.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from CEC Controls is required
  • Must live in commuting distance to one of CEC Controls US offices.
