Role Overview:

As an Early Childhood Paraprofessional / Instructional Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a young student while working alongside teachers and other school professionals. You will help support the student's individual learning, developmental, behavioral, and social-emotional needs while creating a safe and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to an Early Childhood student
  • Assist with classroom instruction and daily learning activities
  • Help implement individualized educational and developmental goals
  • Support positive behavior and social-emotional development
  • Assist the student with participation in classroom routines and activities
  • Observe and document student progress and behavior as directed
  • Collaborate with teachers and other members of the student's educational team

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Early Childhood or Special Education experience is a plus
  • Experience providing 1:1 student support is a plus
  • Strong communication, patience, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • Must be comfortable working in an in-person school setting
