Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Southfield Clinic

At Akoya Behavioral Health, we believe that great care begins with a strong, supported team. We are looking for a Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Southfield clinic and help create a positive, collaborative environment for both our clients and our team members.

The Lead RBT will provide direct ABA therapy while also serving as a mentor and support resource for Behavior Technicians and RBTs. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced RBT who enjoys helping others succeed, supporting new team members, and taking the next step in their professional growth.

What You’ll DoProvide Quality Client Care
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in a clinic-based setting

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA

  • Collect and record accurate therapeutic data

  • Complete session documentation and notes within required timelines

  • Maintain compliance with RBT certification requirements, including supervision and ongoing training

  • Follow ethical standards and company policies to ensure high-quality client care

Support & Mentor Team Members
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Behavior Technicians and RBTs

  • Lead shadow sessions and help new team members build confidence and competency

  • Serve as a positive role model for clinical expectations and professionalism

  • Help foster a welcoming, supportive clinic environment

  • Provide feedback and encouragement to fellow team members

  • Collaborate with BCBAs and clinic leadership to support team success

  • Assist with special projects, community events, and clinic initiatives as needed

QualificationsRequired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RBT

  • Reliable transportation

  • Valid driver's license and active auto insurance

Preferred:
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

  • Experience mentoring, training, or supporting other team members

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Safety-Care certification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for helping children, families, and fellow team members grow
