Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
  • Manage and prioritize purchase requests from internal customers, including production and maintenance replenishment needs.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure procurement policies and procedures are consistently followed across all company locations.
  • Identify and qualify new sources of supply to reduce costs and generate corporate-wide savings.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Analyze and consolidate purchasing requirements across the division.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor procurement procedures and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the negotiation, validation, and implementation of corporate supply agreements.
  • Prepare cost analysis reports and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Coordinate and monitor supplier performance evaluations.
  • Maintain and update the approved supplier list.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior management in the development and execution of the company's overall strategic procurement plan.
  • Support purchasing process improvements and the standardization of procurement practices across all business units.
  • Work closely with purchasing teams located in China and Mexico to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To join our team:

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.

  • Ensure hazardous materials supplied by vendors comply with packaging and labeling requirements.
  • Apply all applicable regulations governing the importation and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Promote supplier and subcontractor awareness of operational procedures and environmental regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
