Job Title: Parks & Beaches Attendant

Location: Sarasota, FL

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Hours: Full-time | 1-9 p.m. including some weekends and holidays

Ad-Vance Talent Solutions is seeking a Parks & Beaches Maintenance Technician to support the Beaches and Water Access Division. This Parks & Beaches Maintenance Technician role assists with cleaning, minor repairs, invasive species removal, coastal restoration, event support, and overall upkeep of assigned beaches and parks.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform light to heavy physical labor in outdoor conditions
  • Experience using small tools and basic maintenance equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Herbicide Applicator License
  • Valid driver’s license
What You’ll Do

Daily Maintenance & Cleaning (50%)

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of beaches, picnic areas, parking lots, playgrounds, restrooms and open spaces
  • Trash removal, litter picking and general upkeep
  • Assist with minor repairs and facility inspections

Semi-Skilled Trades Support (25%)

  • Assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general facility repairs
  • Help diagnose maintenance issues and complete assigned work

Grounds & Natural Resource Maintenance (10%)

  • Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, leaf blowers, chainsaws and pressure washers
  • Assist with invasive plant removal and restoration projects
  • Support Environmental Specialists with resource management projects

Events & Programs (10%)

  • Assist with setup, breakdown and operations of scheduled programs, events and summer camps

Customer Service & Safety (5%)

  • Provide visitor assistance and answer questions regarding park operations
  • Communicate park rules and ensure compliance
  • Conduct patrols, secure facilities and report violations
