This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Industrial Engineering Intern in Boisbriand with Signify, the world leader in lighting.

• Assist the Project Manager with various improvement projects, the integration of new production equipment, and workplace health and safety activities.
• Participate in the implementation of efficient and functional work cells and establish work methods that support their implementation.
• Use LEAN tools to identify opportunities and propose improvements to production processes.
• Create detailed drawings showing dimensions, views, and other data required for production.
• Participate in the study and implementation of quality best practices (office and manufacturing environments).

More about you

While we appreciate all applicants, we believe the following experience and skills will help you succeed in this role:

• Currently pursuing a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations and Logistics Engineering.
• College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience with LEAN tools and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SolidWorks. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong French communication skills, both written and verbal.

Internship Duration: September - December 2026 or January - April 2027

Salary: $22.45 - $27.85 per hour

This internship has the potential to lead to a permanent position with Signify.

• Assister le gestionnaire de projet dans les differents projets d'amelioration, d'integration de nouveaux equipements de production et dans les activites de sante securite au travail.
• Participer a l'implantation de cellules de travail efficaces et fonctionnelles et mettre en place les methodes de travail supportant cette implantation
• Utiliser les outils du LEAN afin d'identifier des opportunites et proposer des ameliorations des processus de production
• Executer des dessins de details indiquant les dimensions, les plans de vue ainsi que d'autres donnees utiles a la mise en production
• Participer a l'etude et a l'application des meilleures pratiques qualites (bureau / usine)

A propos de vous

Bien que nous appreciions apprecions toutes les candidatures, nous croyons que les experiences et competences suivantes vous permettront de reussir dans ce role :

• En cours d'obtention d'un universitaire diplome universitaire en genie mecanique ou genie des operations et de la logistique

• DEC en genie mecanique ou industriel un atout
• Avoir une experience pratique avec les outils LEAN
• Bonne connaissance de Word, Excel, Powerpoint et Solidwork. La connaissance d'Autocad est un atout.
• Bonne connaissance des procedes de fabrications
• Bonne communication en francais (ecrit et verbal)

Duree du stage: Septembre a decembre 2026 ou Janvier - avril 2027
