Job description


General Description: The HR/QMS (Human Resources/Quality Management Systems) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources and quality management systems within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with established quality standards, promoting a positive workplace culture, and implementing HR policies and practices. The HR/QM Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a productive and compliant work environment.

Authority: The HR/QMS Manager has the authority to develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures as new laws and regulations are passed. They are responsible for overseeing quality management processes and ensuring compliance within Mytrex’s QMS procedures. The HR/QMS Manager reports directly to the General manager. This position works with all departments and provides guidance in HR and quality management.

HR Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to maintain compliance with local and federal laws. Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations. Coordinate with department heads for recruitment, hiring, and onboarding. Assist department heads to resolve conflicts and implement disciplinary actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Ensure benefits deductions are imported correctly each pay period. Manage employee benefits and compensation programs. Maintain accurate records to ensure confidentiality and security of employees’ sensitive data.

Quality Management Systems Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain the quality management system established at Mytrex. Conduct regular department quality audits. Assist in completing CAPA procedures for departments as needed. Coordinate with engineering, production, and repair to record when updates are made to work instructions and repair instructions. Maintain accurate records of changes made to any part of the established QMS.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is a plus.

Experience: Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in HR management and quality management. Familiarity with quality management systems. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is also preferred.

Regulatory Requirements: Compliance with all federal, state, and local HR and quality-related regulations. Must be willing to complete and pass a federal background check and drug test.

Other Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous work experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.

Working Conditions and Work Hours: This position typically operates in a standard in office environment with regular business hours 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. There can be flexibility for working from home when needed. Primarily this position is in office.

Note: The HR/QM Manager may be required to adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities as needed by the organization.
