Job Summary
We are seeking an Import/Export Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with 3-5 years of import/export administration experience who is ready to manage international shipments from origin to final U.S. destination.
The Import/Export Coordinator will support ocean and air import operations, working closely with overseas offices, customers, carriers, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and internal teams. This is a strong opportunity to grow within a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment where accuracy, communication, teamwork, and follow-through are highly valued.
Candidates who enjoy managing shipment details, solving transportation challenges, and providing responsive customer service will be well positioned for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of ocean and air shipments from foreign origin points to U.S. destinations, managing each shipment from start to finish.
- Receive, review, process, and maintain import documentation, including bills of lading, in-bond documents, arrival notices, delivery orders, freight releases, and agency documents.
- Track and trace FCL and LCL cargo shipments while providing timely updates to customers, vendors, carriers, and overseas offices.
- Coordinate inland transportation and door deliveries with customers, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and international carriers.
- Process vendor invoices and payables accurately and on time to support month-end deadlines.
- Maintain complete import records and support compliance with domestic and foreign regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.
