Job description

Job Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Porterville, California 100% on-site

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic

team. The successful candidate will work under the CTO to lead development and

production projects related to the conversion of fossil fuel vehicles to electric vehicles,

design new electric powertrains, and manage the process from prototype through

production scale-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development of electric vehicle conversion projects, ensuring

timely and successful completion.

• Oversee the design and implementation of new electric powertrains, including the

transition from prototype to production scale.

• Manage prototype builds, ensuring all electrical schematics, embedded systems,

batteries, motors, and engineering drawings meet company standards and project

requirements.

• Manage and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative

work environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and

embedded software engineering, to ensure cohesive project development.

• Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

• Ensure all projects adhere to safety and quality standards, including relevant

industry regulations and company policies.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members,

fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and

identifying opportunities for professional growth within the team.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and

industry trends, integrating new knowledge into ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or other relevant engineering

field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on mechanical,

electrical, or other engineering.

• Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects, particularly in the

automotive or electric vehicle industry.

• Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems, including batteries, motors, and

embedded systems.

• Experience in managing and mentoring a team of technicians and engineers.

• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a track record of leading

successful engineering teams.

• Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to electric vehicle design and

development such as MATLAB, Catia, Simulink.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under

pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with diverse teams.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage

multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to deliver 3D CAD, Electric Schematics, integrated manufacturing plans,

architectural drawings of electrical vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the transition from fossil fuel vehicles to electric vehicles.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electric vehicles.

• Certification in Project Management (PMP or similar).
