Job description

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) tools such as IBM Guardium.
  • Provide guidance in configuring, implementing, and upgrading DAM policies and tools.
  • Show knowledge of alert creation and database monitoring policies (local and network) for network and agent implementations.
  • Offer guidance, recommendations, and best practices for DAM operations, stabilizing and optimizing system performance—including rules, reports, and assisting with tool upgrades and patch updates.
  • Perform policy fine‑tuning.
  • Work with Guardium modules such as CAS, Vulnerability Assessment, and STAP.
  • Analyze alerts and reports generated by the DAM tool.
  • Ensure availability of the DAM infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical standard operating procedures for DAM.
  • Assist in developing and creating policies and procedures around DAM.
  • Manage ongoing projects and develop relationships to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring implementation compliance with agreed objectives.
  • Conduct workshops to highlight project status and gather update expectations.
  • Identify continuous improvement areas and present recommendations to the client.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, SLOs, and OLAs related to incidents, change, and service requests.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively at all organizational levels and externally with customers.
Qualifications
  • Overall experience of 6+ years with DAM.
  • Certification in DAM.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Expertise in Data Activity Monitoring tools such as Guardium or Imperva.
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Expert level knowledge of Oracle, Teradata, DB2, SQL Server, and MySQL database platforms.
  • Working knowledge of mainframe, Unix, RHEL, and Windows operating environments.
  • Good understanding of DAM policy creation.
  • Excellent teamwork skills in a professional environment.
