Overview

Job Summary:

Facilitates and leads production processes in support of the Production Supervisor or Manager, including a variety of tasks associated with the Prep Room and Labeling of Immucor products.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervises processes to ensure compliance with Immucor SOPs and applicable Regulatory Agencies.
  • Facilitates workflow on the production floor to ensure satisfactory issue resolution and escalates as required to the next level. Generates work orders for equipment in the Trackwise system.
  • Promptly performs Initial Investigations of deviations within the quality system. Creates a teamwork environment for the staff in support of management direction and decisions.
  • Demonstrate behaviors supportive of personal and professional growth of self and co-workers. Support project teams and represent the department as required.Drives improvement at the shop floor level consistent with departmental metrics. Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly work environment.
  • Complete all training and qualification requirements. Own departmental projects and improvement initiatives. Lead by example on the production floor by executing production activities and coaching technicians on the proper SOPs and practices.
  • Lead the shift meetings and production activities in the absence of the supervisor per-departmental expectations.
  • Communicates line status from shift to shift to ensure all safety, quality, and efficiency objectives are achieved. Demonstrate supportive behaviors towards co-workers across shifts, departments, and job descriptions.
  • Performs production operations(Prep Room and Labeling) according to department procedures, specifications, or work instructions and completes tasks within instructions-defined time frames.
  • Show the utmost commitment to Quality and Safety at all times. Additional duties or responsibilities may be assigned to support the daily operations.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours as necessary to meet production schedules.

Networking/Key Relationships

  • Works closely with other production (manufacturing) members, as well as quality control, quality assurance, customer service, shipping, sales, and marketing staff.
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • One year of experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • List Experience working in an aseptic (clean room) environment,
  • Ability to constantly use hands to place the product on and remove the product from the wheel and visually check the product.
  • Ability to use a ladder to reach products/supplies.
  • Ability to maneuver Serum carts weighing approximately 700 pounds in and out of coolers.
  • Ability to stand for over intervals of several hours at a time.
  • Ability to check for defects, check fill levels, and identify and distinguish between colors to help verify dropper assembly
