Raytheon is looking for a Sr. Manager, Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Operations & Supply Chain group for the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit (SBU) - Advanced Integrated Surface Sensos directorate in Tewksbury, MA. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management and proposal activities.
In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product team. Additionally, you will participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates and participating in gate review preparation and/or support activities and assists with the generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW).
The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in supply chain processes, procurement, supplier management, and TINA-compliant proposal development to drive successful execution of new program capture and execution activities. Post-capture, you will contribute to the development of material strategies, supplier engagement, and program support during the early phases of new contract execution. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issues and conflict resolution. As a member of product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate at an executive level within and outside your function, using your ability to inspire others outside of your immediate work area to explain gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures.
This position is a hybrid role however it does require up to 30% travel to supplier and customer sites. The hybrid requirement requires 2 days onsite per week in the Tewksbury or Andover locations.
What You Will Do
  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategies, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • Support, reviews and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and ensure adherence to the plan.
  • Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply chain cycle to meet development requirements.
  • Support and engage with various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas.
  • Lead projects to enhance Supply Chain performance and continuous improvement.
    Support supply chain lead for internal and external audits regarding material and cost validations.
  • Set objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of developmental results.
  • Explain policies, practices, and procedures and may influence others.
  • Problems faced are difficult and require consideration of multiple variables and courage to make risk-based decisions.
  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Industry experience in Aerospace and Defense.
  • Experience with supply chain, vendor management, Risk Assessment/Mitigation and/or performance management.
  • ERP work experience, i.e., SAP.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Prior experience as a Materials Program Manager, proposal experience applying FAR standards.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and multi-site leadership.
  • Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering Related Subject.
  • Project management experience is a strong plus.
  • Existing Secret clearance.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
