Job description

A fast-paced, client-centered law firm located in Natick, is seeking a highly motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our team.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in preparing immigration petitions, acting under the supervision of an attorney.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file immigration petitions (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-765, I-589, I-360, I-140, I-129, etc.)
  • Assist attorneys filling out forms, client affidavits, cover letters, and supporting documentation
  • Communicate with clients to collect documents and provide case updates
  • Manage physical and digital case files, calendars and track deadlines
  • Coordinate filings with attorneys and other legal staff
  • Draft client affidavits and gather supporting evidence for the attorneyโ€™s evaluation
  • Assist attorneys in removal defense cases, including filings with EOIR (Immigration Court) and BIA appeals

Qualifications:

Immigration experience (preparing forms, organizing documents and assisting attorneys before USCIS, EOIR and BIA).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bilingual - English/Portuguese

Strong organizational, time-management and team work abilities in a fast paced ands friendly environment

Familiarity with electronic protocol systems and case management (ex.: ECAS, USCIS online, Clio, etc.) is a plus.

Commitment in following instructions, internal procedures and the lead attorney guidance in all steps.
