Job description

I’m looking for a light installation artist / immersive experience designer who may be interested in becoming a founding creative partner in a new wellness and social space I’m opening in Philadelphia.

I’m a yoga and tantra teacher, multimedia installation artist, and wellness content creator with an audience of 190K+. I’m currently developing the first physical studio for a larger concept called OIA — a space at the intersection of wellness, art, community, and nightlife.

The Space

By day, the studio will host daily programming such as yoga, nervous-system regulation, breathwork, meditation, workshops, women’s circles, couples experiences, and guest practitioners.

At night, I want the same space to transform through light, projection, sound, music, and installation into something much more immersive: intimate social events, DJ sets, sensory experiences, art gatherings, dating and connection events, and alcohol-optional / sober nightlife.

I’m particularly interested in creating environments where light itself changes how the space feels — architectural light, gradients, glowing walls, projection, haze, reflected light, programmable LEDs, scrims, and other techniques that can turn a relatively simple room into an experience.

What I'm Looking For

Someone with experience or a strong creative practice in areas such as:

  • Immersive or experiential lighting
  • Light installation / light art
  • Projection and projection mapping
  • LED / programmable lighting
  • Spatial or environmental design
  • Interactive installations
  • Scenic or event lighting
  • Sound + light environments

Technical expertise is valuable, but I’m equally interested in someone with a strong artistic point of view who wants to build something unusual.

This Is a Partnership, Not a Salaried Position

This is not a salaried employment position at launch.

I’m looking for someone entrepreneurial who is excited by the possibility of helping create the studio itself, rather than simply being hired to execute a predetermined installation.

I am currently exploring small-business financing and speaking with a few potential investors, and I’m open to different partnership structures depending on the person.

That could potentially include:

creative partnership / sweat equity · ownership or equity · revenue or profit share · investment partnership · shared involvement in the studio and operations · project-based paid work as funding develops · or a hybrid structure

I would especially love to meet someone who sees the potential of the concept and might want to build the center with me from the beginning, including contributing to the creative direction, physical transformation of the space, programming environment, and potentially the larger business.

You absolutely do not need to be an investor to reach out. I’m also open to artists who are excited about the creative collaboration but want a more limited role.

About Me

I’ve spent the last several years working across wellness, content, events, and immersive art. My installation work explores light, sensory experience, the body, and altered perception, while my wellness work focuses on embodiment, nervous-system regulation, intimacy, movement, and human connection.

Please send:

  • A little about your experience with light / immersive environments
  • What part of this concept interests you

  • Any experience with opening spaces, production, events, operations, or creative businesses is a plus
